Of all the four Tony richest record. Levin had previously worked with Alice Cooper, Lou Reed, Peter Gabriel and «King Crimson». Added staff keyboardist Jordan Rudess virtuoso, previously played in «Dixie dregs», and recently also lounge around in «Dream theater». His fame at that time was so great that by the magazine «Keyboard Magazine» Jordan was named the world's second largest after keyboardist Keith Emerson.

So all four gathered in one of New York studios and producers led by Pete and Mike Mortichelli Varneya all this week recorded an album «Liquid tension experiment». The CD was released to specialize in progressive label «Magna carta records». On this disc are mixed was a lot of different styles (jazz, fusion, hard, art, funk, etc.), and the duration of the tracks ranged from two to thirty minutes. Despite the short period of sessions, the album gave the impression of a well-prepared work, which once again confirmed the high level musicians.
